An AI creator expanding the possibilities of commercial filmmaking through editing expertise and generative AI

Kattsu is an AI creator and commercial editor at T&E, a Japanese video production company, combining experience in commercial editing with generative AI to explore new forms of visual expression.

After joining T&E in 2000, Kattsu moved from production coordination into offline and later online editing. This background spans the full editing process, from shaping the narrative to final finishing, using Flame, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

Kattsu began researching generative AI in 2024 and helped establish T&E’s DIGILAB, which launched in April 2025. With responsibility for AI production on commercial projects across Kyushu, Osaka, and Tokyo, Kattsu has worked on more than 40 commercials incorporating AI-generated video.

Featured in the “AI Creators File” section of Genkosha’s AI Video Production Archives 2026, Kattsu draws on extensive post-production experience to integrate AI-generated material into polished commercial films. The focus remains on exploring new creative possibilities at the intersection of filmmaking and AI.
