Ikuko Morozumi

A Tokyo-based composer. Learned classical piano from childhood and studied horn in the school band during student years. During the same period, played guitar, bass, and keyboard in bands. Started solo activities in 1997. Activities span widely including releases from domestic and international labels in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain and others, as well as live performances, label management, and event organization. In 2021, provided music for the “23rd Japan Media Arts Festival Award-winning Works Exhibition ‘NEXT WORLD EXHIBITION’,” “MUTEK.JP,” and “Ars Electronica.” Also involved in commercial music composition and arrangement for JR Takanawa Gateway Station Sound Project, as well as for Rakuten, Toshiba, Tower Records, Tokyo Electric Power Company, BMW, and others.
